I couldn't resist!

Our girl was a bit hyped up one afternoon when we were Skyping with some fam. While the entire video is entertaining, I love what she does with her facial expressions the last few frames. It makes me laugh every time.

ENJOY!

School's Out For Summer!

I had a great first week of summer vacation. We were really busy! The Friday I finished school, we drove up to Hutchinson Island for a fishing tourney. Although we didn't actually do any fishing, we had a great time hanging out at the pool and with Mama O. She left us on Monday so it was great to spend a last relaxing weekend with her.

Helping Daddy make breakfast.

The little sneak crawled into her room and grabbed the blanket that she leaves in her crib. Apparently this was a sign that she was tired :) and she was quickly whisked back into her room for nap time.

We had girls day out: errands all over town and lunch at Duffy's!

She LOVES her new car seat and Ryan and I do too. We love being able to see her during the drive.

We didn't think she knew how to take off her gdiapers, but we were mistaken!
This past weekend we took another quick road trip up to Orlando for a roofing convention. Ava was great on the drive and we stayed a the beautiful Hilton!

Getting ready for the day with Mommy's hat and bra.

A breakfast smooch.

The pool was the coolest I think I've ever seen! Zero entry (like a beach) so Ava could crawl in and out without navigating stairs, water features, basketball hoops, and A LAZY RIVER! Ava and I swam in the morning while Ryan did "roofing stuff," but we saved the lazy river to enjoy with him in the afternoon. I wish I had taken a picture after we were finished....she looked like a drowned rat! She loved the spraying water and didn't fuss at all when she got blasted in the face. :)

A little humid perhaps?

On the remote/phone before going out for a nice dinner.

Whew....this is hard work.

This kind of freaked me out on our drive home! One semi pulling another.

Utterly exhausted.

We think she might grow up to be a bit of a dare devil. She loves being tossed around in the pool, begs to be flipped upside down, and loves the suspense of being "dropped."

Our sweet girl is beginning to walk! She's very proud of her progress, as you can see below. :)

We're really looking forward to our road trip up North! We can't wait to see everyone and for everyone to see just how much Ava's grown.

May melts into June...

The past month has completely flown by! Since the Tri in Orlando we've been busy. The weather has been beautiful, so we've been spending a lot of time in the pool. We've had a few small shindigs at our place with friends and good food. Ava is growing like a weed and has begun walking (assisted) and loves it. She's still very much in love with her books and if she can get you to stay in one place, she'll bring you every book in the house.

Grandma left her alone for one minute and this is the disaster that struck! :)

She is such a great eater!

We were invited to her friend, Addyson's, 1st birthday party. It was at a local park and there was a bounce house! Ava was more brave than a lot of little kids, and I was one of few parents that ventured into the sweat box. She loved it, especially when I made her bounce.

She loves to swing.

Later that week, Ava and Grandma took a trip to the zoo with their peeps. The water fountain/play area was a highlight on a hot day.

Grandma with Danny, Ava, and Addyson.

Left to her own devices, she will empty every drawer, all the book bins, and anything she can get out of the closet.

Today it's 93 with 86% humidity (down from 93% this a.m.). Needless to say, it was the perfect excuse to spend some time in the pool.

She's getting really good at kicking her feet and splashing with her hands. Most of the time she just claps for herself, it's really cute.

It's almost summer! I have 3 1/2 days of school left and we're going to be heading north on June 25th. We're really excited for another great summer road trip.
